Google Maps is gearing up to make life a little bit easier for electric vehicle owners. The app will soon be able to show users charging stations in their vicinity, as well as planned routes that take into account charging stops.
This is a welcome addition for EV owners, who often have to plan their journeys carefully to make sure they don’t end up stranded without a charge. Having this information readily available in Google Maps will make it a lot easier to plan journeys, and could even help to encourage more people to switch to electric vehicles.
The feature is currently in testing, so it may be a little while before it rolls out to all users. But it’s great to see Google continuing to add useful features to Maps, and making life a little bit easier for EV owners in the process.
