Discord arrives on PS5 for beta testers today
Sony has announced that the beta for its highly anticipated PlayStation 5 console will be arriving later today for select testers. The beta, which was originally announced last month, will include support for the Discord voice chat app as well as other features.
For those who are not familiar, Discord is a voice chat app that allows gamers to communicate with each other while playing games. The app has been available on the PC and mobile for some time, but this will be the first time it will be available on a console.
The PS5 beta will also include support for 1440p resolution and VRR (variable refresh rate) for the PlayStation VR headset. These features were first announced last week and are designed to improve the gaming experience for those who have a compatible TV or monitor.
Sony has said that the beta will be available to a select group of testers, but did not specify how many people will be able to participate. The beta will be available in North America, Europe, and Japan.
