Apple may be working on a pricier iPhone ‘Ultra’

Apple may be working on a pricier iPhone ‘Ultra’ according to a recent report from Engadget. This new iPhone would be in addition to the current Pro and Pro Max models and would be even more expensive than the current top of the line iPhone.
This news comes from well respected tech blogger, Mark Gurman who has a good track record when it comes to Apple rumors. He reports that Apple is considering this new high-end iPhone as a way to boost iPhone average selling prices.
This would be a bold move by Apple and would surely cause some backlash from customers who are already struggling to pay the high price of the current iPhone models. However, it’s not unheard of for Apple to offer a more expensive version of their products. For example, the MacBook Air was recently updated with a more expensive model that has a higher resolution screen and faster processor.
If Apple does release a more expensive iPhone, it will be interesting to see how they position it in the market. Will they market it as a luxury product or will they try to sell it on the basis of its improved features?
Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, Apple is always looking for ways to increase their profits.
