Over the course of the last several weeks, the gaming community has been abuzz with anticipation for Nintendo’s latest Direct presentation. On February 23rd, that long-awaited Direct finally arrived… and it did not disappoint.
One of the most highly-anticipated announcements to come out of the Direct was Nintendo’s confirmation that Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games will finally be coming to the Switch Online service. Entitled “Tears of the Kingdom”, this game is set to continue the story of Link and Zelda in an all-new adventure. Twitter was abuzz with excitement following the Direct, with fans eagerly sharing their thoughts on all of the announcements. Unfortunately, the service eventually buckled under the sheer volume of traffic and crashed for a brief period of time. However, this did not dampen the spirits of Nintendo fans, who continued to celebrate the wealth of announcements that had been made.
