New iMac Not Expected to Launch Until Late 2023 at Earliest

Though it was previously expected that Apple would launch a new iMac with a redesigned beautiful body and smaller bezels sometime this year, it now seems that the Cupertino company will not be able to release the updated all-in-one until late 2023 at the earliest.
The news comes from multiple reputable sources including MacRumors, Pocket-lint, and Digital Trends who have all reported that they don’t expect to see the new iMac until late 2023. The main reason for the delay is said to be because of the ongoing global chip shortage which has impacted the production of many different types of electronic devices.
While we may have to wait a little bit longer for the new iMac, it is rumored to be worth the wait as it is said to feature Apple’s new M3 chip. The M3 chip is said to be a significant upgrade from the current M1 chip and will offer increased performance and efficiency.
So, if you’re looking to buy a new iMac in the near future, you may want to wait until late 2023 when the updated model is expected to launch. In the meantime, you can check out our list of the best iMac alternatives to find a computer that suits your needs.
