Update your Apple devices now to patch a security flaw

Apple recently released updates for its iPhone and Mac devices to patch a security flaw that was discovered by Google’s Project Zero security research team. The flaw, which was dubbed “iMessageGate” by the team, could have allowed attackers to remotely execute code on a victim’s device by sending a specially crafted iMessage.
Apple has addressed the issue in the latest iOS and macOS updates, which are now available for all users. If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 14, 14.2, or 14.3, be sure to update to iOS 14.3.1 as soon as possible. For Mac users, the update is macOS Big Sur 11.2.3, and it can be downloaded from the Mac App Store.
As always, it’s important to keep your devices up-to-date with the latest security fixes to protect yourself from potential attacks. If you haven’t updated your iPhone or Mac in a while, now is a good time to do so.
