Apple Reveals How Many iPhones and iPads Are Running iOS 16 and iPadOS 16

Apple has revealed statistics on the adoption rates of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 for the first time. The figures show that iOS 16 is now installed on 85% of all compatible iPhones and iPads, while iPadOS 16 is installed on 79% of all compatible iPad models.
This is the first time that Apple has released official figures on the adoption rates of its mobile operating systems. The company usually only provides data on the adoption rates of its major iOS releases, such as iOS 13 and iOS 14.
The figures show that iOS 16 has a higher adoption rate than the previous two major releases of iOS. iOS 16 was released on September 16, 2020, and its adoption rate is currently higher than that of iOS 15, which was released on September 15, 2019.
However, iPadOS 16 has a lower adoption rate than the previous two major releases of iPadOS. iPadOS 16 was released on September 16, 2020, and its adoption rate is currently lower than that of iPadOS 15, which was released on September 15, 2019.
The figures also show that the adoption rate of iOS 16 is higher than that of iPadOS 16. This is likely due to the fact that iOS 16 is a more significant update than iPadOS 16, with the latter adding support for the iPad Pro and the new Apple Pencil.
The figures were revealed in Apple’s developer website, which contains data on the adoption rates of all major iOS and iPadOS releases.
