Review Roundup For PSVR 2

The PlayStation VR 2 has finally arrived, and it’s a marked improvement over the original in nearly every way. The visuals are sharper, the headphones are more comfortable, and the overall design is more refined. But is it enough to make PSVR the must-have virtual reality platform it always should have been?
The short answer is “no.” The PSVR 2 is a good headset, but it’s not a great one. The visuals are still a step behind the competition, the tracking is occasionally wonky, and the overall library of games is woefully lacking. It’s also very, very expensive.
For all of its faults, though, the PSVR 2 is still the best virtual reality headset you can buy for the PlayStation 4. If you’re already invested in Sony’s console ecosystem, it’s the obvious choice. And if you’re looking for a more affordable way to get into virtual reality, it’s a perfectly reasonable option.
Just don’t expect it to change your life.
