Pokémon Presents February 2023: Everything Announced During the Pokémon Day 2023 Celebration
It’s that time of year again! The Pokémon Company is gearing up for another big Pokémon event – Pokémon Day. This year’s event is shaping up to be even bigger than last year’s, with plenty of new announcements and reveals.
As always, the event will be livestreamed for all to see. Here’s everything you need to know about Pokémon Day 2023.
When is Pokémon Day 2023?
Pokémon Day falls on February 27th every year, to commemorate the day that the first Pokémon games, Red and Green, were released in Japan. This year’s event will be the 27th Pokémon Day celebration.
What time is the Pokémon Day 2023 livestream?
The Pokémon Day livestream will begin at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm GMT on February 27th. That’s 4am JST on February 28th for those in Japan.
The event will be streamed live on the official Pokémon YouTube channel, as well as on the official Pokémon Twitch channel.
What can we expect from Pokémon Day 2023?
The biggest potential announcement from Pokémon Day 2023 is the long-awaited Pokémon Stars, the next entry in the MMO-style Pokémon MMO series. Pokémon Stars has been heavily rumored for over a year now, and it seems all but certain that the game will finally be revealed during the Pokémon Day livestream.
Another big possibility is the official announcement of Pokémon Sword and Shield’s first expansion pack. The expansion, which is currently codenamed “Sword and Shield 2”, has been heavily leaked over the past few months, and it seems likely that The Pokémon Company will finally unveil it during the Pokémon Day livestream.
We may also get some new information on the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield Games, which are scheduled to release this year. In particular, we may finally get a release date for the games.
Finally, we may get some more information on the recently announced Pokémon sleep, a mobile app that tracks your sleep and rewards you with in-game bonuses. Pokémon sleep is slated to launch this summer, so we may get a more concrete release date during the Pokémon Day livestream.
