Pixel 7a visits the FCC; Google to take its mid

A new Google phone has shown up at the FCC, and it’s likely either the Pixel 7a or the Pixel Fold. The phone, which is codenamed “G025A,” has been spotted in FCC filings, and it looks a lot like the Pixel 6a that was released last year.
However, there are some key differences that suggest that this is a new phone. First, the Pixel 7a is expected to be a mid-range phone, while the Pixel 6a was a budget device. Second, the Pixel 7a is rumored to have a better camera than the Pixel 6a.
Third, and most importantly, the Pixel 7a is expected to be a foldable phone. This would explain why the phone has been codenamed “G025A,” as “G” is typically used for Google’s Nexus devices, and “025” is the code for a foldable device.
If this is the Pixel 7a, then it’s likely that Google will announce it at its annual Google I/O conference, which is scheduled for May 18-20. However, if this is the Pixel Fold, then it’s possible that we won’t see it until Google’s fall hardware event, which is typically held in October.
Either way, it’s clear that Google is working on a new phone, and it’s likely that we’ll see it within the next few months.
