Remaking ‘Resident Evil 4’ was a huge challenge. The team was ready.

The world of video gaming is one that is constantly evolving. With each new console release and each new game, there is always something new to experience. This can be both good and bad, as sometimes change can be difficult to adjust to. For long time fans of the Resident Evil franchise, they are currently in the midst of change, as a remake of the fourth installment in the series is currently in development.
The original Resident Evil 4 was released in 2005 and was a game changer for the series. It introduced a new setting and new gameplay mechanics that would set the standard for subsequent games in the franchise. The game was so successful that it has been ported to multiple platforms and even spawned a spin-off series. Now, 15 years later, Capcom is developing a remake of the game.
The team behind the remake is aware of the pressure that comes with remaking such an iconic game. In an interview with The Washington Post, producer Yoshiaki Hirabyashi stated, “When we first started development, we realized that this was going to be a very daunting task.” Hirabyashi went on to say that the team is up for the challenge and is confident in their ability to deliver a remake that will live up to fans’ expectations.
So far, what we know about the remake is that it will retain the same basic story and structure of the original game. However, there will be some changes to the gameplay. For example, the inventory system will be updated to allow for moreitem management options. Additionally, the game will boast updated visuals and will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
As a long time fan of the Resident Evil franchise, I am excited for the remake. I have fond memories of playing the original game and I am curious to see how the team at Capcom will update it for a new generation of gamers. I am confident that they will be able to deliver a remake that is both faithful to the original game and also offers something new for fans of the series.
