iOS 16.4 Is Almost Here. You Should Still Download iOS 16.3.1 Now

iOS 16.4 is almost upon us, and while it brings with it some great new features, you should still hold off on updating if you’re running iOS 16.3.1.
One of the biggest new features in iOS 16.4 is support for Apple’s new AirTags. These are small, lightweight devices that can be attached to keychains, wallets, and other everyday items to help you keep track of them. AirTags use the Find My app to help you locate misplaced items, and they work with Apple’s new “U1” Ultra Wideband chips to offer more precise location tracking than other Bluetooth-based locating tags.
While AirTags are certainly one of the most anticipated new features in iOS 16.4, there are a few other notable changes and improvements as well. For one, HomePod users will finally be able to stream music from their iPhone or iPad to the speaker using AirPlay 2. This has been a long-awaited feature, and it’s great to see it finally arrive.
Additionally, iOS 16.4 brings with it a number of bug fixes and performance improvements. If you’re running iOS 16.3.1, you should still update to 16.4 for the stability and security improvements alone.
So, while iOS 16.4 is a great update, there’s no need to rush to install it. If you’re already running iOS 16.3.1, you can wait for the final release later this month.
