Final Super Mario Bros. Movie Trailer Debuts At Nintendo Direct

When the first trailer for the Super Mario Bros. movie dropped yesterday, everyone was understandably excited. The final trailer for the movie, which debuts at Nintendo Direct today, gives us a better look at the live-action film’s take on the classic video game franchise.
The trailer opens with a look at the film’s version of Mario (played by Bob Hoskins) and Luigi (John Leguizamo) as they work in a New York City sewer. After a brief mishap involving a rat, the pair are introduced to Toad (played by Dennis Hopper), who tells them about the Mushroom Kingdom.
The trailer then cuts to a sequence that shows Mario and Luigi being abducted by Toad and brought to the Mushroom Kingdom. After a brief scuffle with some Goombas, the brothers find themselves face-to-face with King Koopa (played by Dennis Hopper).
The final trailer for the Super Mario Bros. movie is a mix of live-action and CGI, and it looks like it could be a lot of fun. The movie hits theaters on May 28.
