GPU and CPU makers have been in something of an arms race lately. The focus has largely been on gaming cards, with each new release aiming to one-up the last in terms of power and speed. This has been particularly true for AMD and NVIDIA, who have been locked in an intense battle for market share.

The latest release from AMD is the Radeon RX 6800 XT, and it looks to be a doozy. This card is said to be able to deliver up to 2.5x the performance of the previous generation. It’s also been supersized by Gigabyte, who has released a version of the card that is significantly larger than the reference model.

This extra size is said to be necessary in order to accommodate the increased power draw of the RX 6800 XT. Gigabyte is reportedly using a 12+2 phase power design, which is said to be capable of delivering up to 750W of power. This is a significant increase over the reference card, which is only rated for 225W.

The increased size and power draw of the Gigabyte card will no doubt be music to the ears of gamers who are looking for the absolute best performance. However, it remains to be seen if this card will be able to deliver on its promises. AMD’s last high-end release, the RX 5700 XT, was met with mixed reviews. Many praised its performance, but others found that it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

only time will tell if the RX 6800 XT can deliver on its promise of being the ultimate gaming card. However, one things for sure, Gigabyte’s supersized version of the card is sure to turn heads.
