Sunday Puzzle: Around the World in Nine Words

Assuming you want a blog titled “Sunday Puzzle: Around the World in Nine Words”
Have you ever played the game “Around the World in 80 Days”? It’s a classic, and it’s the perfect game to play if you want to get a sense of how big the world really is. But what if we could shrink the world down to just nine words?
That’s the challenge that NPR posed to its listeners this week, and it’s a doozy. The goal is to find nine English words that, when arranged in a grid, form the names of nine world capitals. Each word must touch at least one other word, and no capital can appear twice.
So far, no one has been able to correctly identify all nine capitals, but we’re pretty confident that some of our readers will be up to the task. After all, you’re a savvy bunch, and you’re no strangers to word games.
So give it a shot, and let us know how you do. We’ll be waiting eagerly to see if anyone can crack this puzzle.
