Google is giving some of its most dedicated Pixel phone fans early access to test out a new chatbot called Bard. Bard is Google’s answer to ChatGPT, a similar chatbot developed by Facebook.

Pixel Superfans are a group of dedicated Google fans who have been using the company’s phones since the first Pixel phone was released in 2016. They are active on social media and often give feedback to Google about its products.

Some Superfans have received invitations to test Bard. The invitation says that Bard is “a new chatbot from Google that helps you talk to businesses.”

To use Bard, you add it to a chat thread in Google Hangouts or Message. Then, you can ask Bard about businesses, like restaurants, that are near you. Bard will provide information about the business, like the address, phone number, and hours.

So far, Bard is only available to a small group of people, but Google plans to make it available to everyone later this year.
