Blizzard Boss Explains And Defends Diablo 4 Server Queues

As of late, Blizzard Boss, J. Allen Brack, has come under fire for the server queues that have been plaguing Diablo 4. In a recent interview, Brack has explained the decision to go with server queues and defended it against the community’s feedback.
Blizzard has been no stranger to server queues in the past. The most recent example being the launch of World of Warcraft: Legion, where queues were so bad that some players were unable to login for days. However, with Diablo 4, Blizzard seems to be taking a different approach.
Instead of the traditional launch window, Blizzard has decided to go with an Early Access period. This allows players to purchase the game and play it before it releases, with the understanding that the game is not finished and may have bugs.
The problem with this approach is that it seems to be more of a marketing ploy than anything else. Blizzard is banking on the fact that players will be so excited to play the game that they won’t mind waiting in line for hours, or even days.
This is a risky move, as it could backfire and turn players away from the game entirely. Only time will tell if Blizzard’s gamble will pay off.
