Cyberpunk 2077 Receives Path Tracing In April

Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most highly anticipated games of the past few years. The game was originally set to release in April 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic.
Finally, after months of waiting, the game is set to release in April 2021. In the lead up to the release, CD Projekt Red, the developers of the game, have released a number of trailers and gameplay videos.
The latest trailer, released this week, showcases the game’s “Overdrive Mode.” This mode is a new addition to the game that will allow players to use path tracing. Path tracing is a rendering technique that can create very realistic images by tracing the path of light through a scene.
However, the path tracing technology is very demanding on computer resources. As a result, the “Overdrive Mode” will only be available on high-end PCs.
The release of “Overdrive Mode” is just one of the many ways that Cyberpunk 2077 is pushing the boundaries of what is possible with today’s technology. It is clear that the game is going to be a visual feast for the eyes.
However, it remains to be seen if the game can live up to the huge amount of hype that has been building up over the past few years. We will have to wait until April to find out.
