Apple Pencil executives have recently been discussing the new hover features in iPadOS 16.4, and it seems that the internet is collectively pretty excited about it. Here at The Gizmo Blog, we’ve been following the development of the new hover features pretty closely, and we’re excited to see what they’ll be able to do.

The new hover features in iPadOS 16.4 are designed to allow the Apple Pencil to interact with the iPad in a more natural way, by essentially allowing it to “hover” over the surface of the screen. This means that you’ll be able to use the Pencil to select items on the screen without actually touching it, which should come in handy for a variety of tasks.

In addition to the new hover features, iPadOS 16.4 also brings support for the PS5’s DualSense Edge wireless controller. This is a pretty big deal, as it means that you’ll be able to use the controller with your iPad to play games that were designed for the PS5. The DualSense Edge controller is a pretty nifty piece of hardware, and we’re excited to see how it works with the iPad.

Overall, iPadOS 16.4 seems like a pretty solid update. The new hover features are definitely the highlight, but the addition of PS5 controller support is also appreciated. If you’re an iPad user, be sure to check out the new update when it becomes available.
