Today, Apple released the first beta of iOS 16.5 to developers. This release includes new features and improvements, including a new “My Sports” tab in Apple News and support for Apple Fitness+ workouts.

As always, we recommend that you wait for the final release of iOS 16.5 before installing it on your iPhone or iPad. Beta software is usually unstable and can include bugs that may damage your device.

With that said, let’s take a look at what’s new in iOS 16.5 beta 1.

One of the new features in iOS 16.5 is a “My Sports” tab in Apple News. This tab contains articles and videos from your favorite sports teams and leagues.

To add a team or league to your favorites, open the Apple News app and tap the “Following” tab. Then, select “Edit” and add your favorite teams and leagues.

Apple Fitness+ is a new workout service that launches later this year. With Fitness+, you can do workouts with Apple Watch and see your progress on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV.

In iOS 16.5, Apple has added support for Fitness+ workouts. This means that you can start a Fitness+ workout on your Apple Watch and see your progress on your iPhone or iPad.

To try this out, open the Workout app on your iPhone or iPad and select the “Fitness+” tab. Then, start a workout on your Apple Watch.

That’s all for this week’s roundup of what’s new in iOS 16.5 beta 1. Be sure to stay tuned for more coverage as we approach the public release of iOS 16.5.
