I grew up in a ‘rich white neighborhood’ and here are the ‘weird’ things I learned about wealth

I grew up in a wealthy, predominantly white neighborhood and I learned a lot of things about wealth and privilege that I never would have otherwise known. Here are some of the weird things I learned about wealth:
1. Wealthy people are often really out of touch with reality.
They live in their own little bubbles where everything is perfect and they don’t have to worry about the problems that most people have to deal with on a daily basis. This can make them seem really out of touch and clueless about the world around them.
2. Wealthy people often think that they’re better than everyone else.
There’s a sense of entitlement that comes with being wealthy. A lot of wealthy people think that they’re better than everyone else because they have more money. This sense of superiority can make them really arrogant and inaccessible.
3. Wealthy people often have a lot of hidden secrets.
Since they’re so out of touch with reality, wealthy people often have a lot of secrets that they keep hidden from the world. This can make them seem really mysterious and enigmatic.
4. Wealthy people often have a lot of things that they’re afraid of losing.
Since they have so much to lose, wealthy people are often really afraid of losing everything. This can make them seem really paranoid and anxious.
5. Wealthy people often have a lot of pressure to maintain their image.
Since they’re in the public eye, wealthy people often feel a lot of pressure to maintain their image. This can make them seem really pretentious and superficial.
